Spazio is now happy to feature stained glass artwork by painter René Gagnon.

« René works in a traditional way, assembling cut glass with H-shaped led joints. These are first laminated, and then soldered at each intersection with tin. That's it for the technique. He first draws a landscape on paper and then, with the help of this plan, cuts the glass. We are lucky to have antique blown glass to work with, which is impossible to find on the market'', explains his life companion.

''René was always fascinated by the variations in glass, the colored lights and the prism created by sunlight going through glass. His painting style will be recognizeable but on a new support which brings an extraordinary luminosity'', Claire-Hélène points out. »
